Stuff I've learned about putting the Koss earphones on (in).

If they tend to fall out or aren't secure enough or don't seal as well as you'd like, try turning the foam pieces around, with the fat end facing toward your ear.
You could make a hole in the disposable foam earplugs if the Koss foam doesn't work for you.

When you squash them, try to not get any big wrinkles in the foam. Start with gentle pressure and work your way to rolling them pretty tight.
Make sure the foam doesn't go past the end of the tube.

Once you get one to the shape you want, keep rolling until you put it in your ear. They start to swell as soon as you let go and won't seal well if you don't get them in as far as they'll (comfortably) go.

Reach over the top of your head with the other hand and grab the top end of your ear. Pull up and back because the ear canal slants foreward and slightly down and this will straighten it out and make insertion easier.

IMPORTANT! Keep a little pressure on it, to hold it in place, while the foam is expanding. Otherwise it will push itself out (some) and you won't be satisfied. This takes a minute or two, so don't rush it.
